This souvenir is sold on the occasion of Asia Society Hong Kong Center’s exhibition, A Story of Light: Hon Chi-fun, from 12 March to 09 June 2019. A Story of Light re-contextualizes the evolution of Hon Chi-fun’s practice by contrasting his continual fascination with light as both a material and subject with his deployment of various media and cultural influences. The exhibition presents over thirty artworks spanning four decades of his trailblazing practices in painting, printmaking, and photography.
2. James Turrell Poster

This souvenir is sold on the occasion of Asia Society Hong Kong Center’s exhibition, Yukaloo by James Turrell, from 12 March to 09 June 2019. Yukaloo is an aperture within which LEDs are engineered to change colors gradually over the course of several hours. Colored light emitted from the work fills the space, creating an immersive atmosphere similar to the awe-inspiring fashion in which the sky changes from late afternoon to night. Best known for his installations of colored light that appear boundless and infinite, Turrell draws us closer to the presence of light and how it transforms our perception of space.
3. Hidden Forest Poster

This souvenir is sold on the occasion of Asia Society Hong Kong Center’s exhibition, Hidden Forests Summer Project, from 06 July to 08 September 2019. Focusing on local ecology, Hidden Forests celebrates Hong Kong’s trees and biodiversity and promotes the importance of caring for the environment. Inspired as a response to Hong Kong’s devastating loss of trees caused by the tropical cyclone Typhoon Mangkhut in September 2018, Hidden Forests includes an art exhibition, a music series, community workshops and nature tours that explore the significance of trees to our local environment, culture and history. The cross-disciplinary program brings together local artistic talent and expert ecologists to strengthen public awareness about forestry and biodiversity in Hong Kong.
